communication breakdown

Since my camera battery just died, I suppose I have to actually write something...although I am not quite sure what to say at the moment. I am rather exhausted, which is not exactly how I wanted to start such a long journey. First it was one thing and then it was another, you know what I mean. I always overpack my life with things I need to do, so even my vacation is very intense. Yes, I am an intense person and the whole sitting around drinking, in this case yummy Czech beer, and discussing politics, religion and economics, well it is very Euro and all, but my tired, little brain is about to implode. I haven't slept right in awhile...oh well, I can sleep when I am dead; after all, life is for the living, or so they say.

last minute details

I'm still packing but I figured that I better get this out to everyone as promised. One of my final things to do prior to leaving was to get a healing treatment and massage from my friend, Adrian. He gave me an amazing treatment with his didgeridoo. While I laid on the massage table, he worked with my energy field and chakras. It felt like the sound and vibrations were smoothing out any kinks in my energetic field. It was super relaxing and a great prelude to a fabulous massage. Later when I was trying to decide which OSHO book to bring with me, I could feel an electric current encircling my whole upper body. Very cool...I feel good... everything feels right for my trip. Keep in touch and Happy Solstice everyone. Merry Meet, Merry Part.

Praha

I am almost packed. I have more junk than I do clothes, but I hope to do a bit of shopping while I am abroad ;) I am off to NJ for a BBQ and then to Prague. Here's an old painting I did of the cathedral and the old city after my last visit. We'll have to see what comes out of going to Sedlec Ossuary...you know I have a thing for bones. They have lots of mana, you know?! http://www.artgraphica.net/art-shop/prague-kutna-hora-bone-church.htm

crabs

so i received an early birthday gift--don't forget to make those paypal India donations--from my mother today. I am pretty sure that it is a close-up of a crab. Yes, I am one of those crabby, moonchildren--you know the ones, tough on the outside and sweet and tender inside. We're so tough because everyone else's thoughts and feelings bleed into our energetic fields. That, and well we are naturally protective and defensive. Truly that never worked though, now I just try to trust in the divine तेरे इस नोट गोद बुत गोद and hope that I am truly tapping into God's will and following my path.
Oh yeah, i was going to talk about my mother's art. Well she is very talented and paints in many genres, but maybe I should just show her how to make her own blog....

my ruby slippers

I am having great difficulty in figuring out what shoes to bring. Something that will match and be very comfortable. Normally I travel in my big, clunky, engineer boots. But I am over having to take them off during security since they have huge metal rings. Crocs are springy and their website had testimonials of other American tourists with their silly, colorful shoes. My other choice is my new nike rifts, which are super comfortable and well, anyone who knows me, knows that I have a thing for goats. Anything that gives me cloven feet is kind cool. Maybe I should be more worried about where I am going to stay when I get there? Then again, the right shoes will lead me to the right place, no?

graduation

Here I am on graduation day with my major professor, Steven Heine. This is for my Master's in Asian Studies that I just finished in December. Now it's time to go explore the Indian subcontinent. I am hoping to also visit Nepal while I am over there.
